Education

I attended Penn State University and obtained dual certification in elementary and special education as an undergraduate.  I later got a master's degree in reading from Walden University and a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant certificate from Stockton College.  I most recently completed an autism certificate from Penn State University.

Experience

I began working at Margaret Mace School as a substitute teacher and summer school teacher before I graduated from college.  I did my student teaching in Norristown Area High School, PA before returning to South Jersey.  When I was hired as a kindergarten teacher at Margaret Mace I faced the task of converting the curriculum from a half-day program to full-day and implementing the High Scope Program.  I enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm of younger students and continued to explore and implement changes in the math and reading programs.  I have taught Basic Skills to kindergarten, first, and second grade students and I am currently teaching first grade.

Bio

I live in Cape May County with my husband and two children.  We enjoy the beach and riding bikes in the summer and skiing in the winter.
